American jazz and ragtime pianist and composer Reginald Robinson has been called a “Chicago Ragtime wizard.” He was awarded the rare and distinguished John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur “Genius” Grant for his innovative ragtime piano works and music research. We are truly delighted and honored to have him perform and provide some of the stories behind his music for our season opener.
